Early morning visit to my favourite butcher:
As I was leaving, the butcher called to me in English: "We will have the plat du lapin moutarde tomorrow, Monsieur." He remembered my pestering him last year about rabbit dishes! So I reserved three pieces and his assistant wrote my name down in blue biro pen in the order book: "Mairis."
