Etched brass HO scale trees

Ordered three etched brass HO scale trees from the Model Tree Company.

https://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/eb20-etched-brass-tree-p15-p16-p20-p24-p25-p26-p31-p32-p33-p34.html

Not sure where the etched brass comes into play.

They will replace the three tall trees in the scenario below.

The idea being that I can still locate my boules players under the shade of some trees but the station facade will not be hidden.

Last night's dinner:

Our usual Christmas Day at my niece and  her husband's house in Helensburgh.

All I can say is that I enjoyed the day more this year than I ever have before - and I've always enjoyed it! Everything was EXCELLENT.

Drumming practice update:

A momentous day.

I asked my son who has never seen me drum to comment upon my overall position/posture/ etc.

First of all I showed him videos and stills of proper Caixa players.

His comments were that I obviously had the drum hanging far too low and that my upper arms and shoulders looked very tense. The adepts' upper arms seemed to just hang from their shoulders in a very relaxed fashion.

He then took a couple of videos of me playing.

The performance sounded OK but:

THERE WAS NO BLOODY ARM MOVEMENT AT ALL.

I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.

IT WAS ALL WRIST MOVEMENT!!!!!!!!!

Oh well! Back to the drawing board but with the drum in its new position.
