The idea came to me when I was looking at a photograph of two thin wires emanating from a pair of street lights that I was installing.
I did a double-take when I saw the photograph - it reminded me of the famous peeing statue:
Then I thought if I used multiple curved wires, an effective impression of a fountain could be created.
Such models are commercially available, but look a bit too "plasticky" for my taste.
Watch this space.

Miscellany 1:
Really enjoyable evening last night at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall with my sister and brother-in-law - a sixties revival show.
For me the surprise package of the evening was Spencer Davis who re-created all his 60s hits in the absence of Stevie Winwood, and did so with gusto and integrity.

But the star of the show was P J Proby who at the age of 76 still has that unique presence which captivated us all 50 years ago.
In his hey day |

Brilliant. |
This morning I attended a Masterclass delivered by the great pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja.
6 years younger than P J Proby |
It was fascinating and exhausting for the small audience of approx 30 and for the students and for Miss Leonskaja.
I attended because I wanted to soak up the learning atmosphere of a musical tutorial in case I could generalise it to my own elementary attempts to learn to play a single drum!!!!
I should have brought my niece's husband since he is actually learning to play the piano at the age of 40.
PJ was excellent last night, Miss Leonskaja appears extremely talented too but I think she sounds as if she would either make or break you if you were a student.
ReplyDeleteThe students seemed to be made of pretty strong stuff.
