Successful installation of HO scale street lights

The two holes awaiting the two lampposts.

The completed wooden cradle with wired up resistor that will be pushed up through the baseboard from underneath.

And, finally, in position.

I like this piece of Haslam's descriptive writing remembering a visit with his boyfriend to sub-Saharan Africa.

".....or crossing the plain to the Palais Jamai Fez, when the full moon hanging low over a rocky ridge was so huge and seemed so close we both felt we had a foretaste of a planetary collision." p 226.

Miscellany:

Was out the East End of Glasgow this morning and on the way back turned off the main roads and onto the cycle way that runs along the side of the Clyde and then  into and then beyond Glasgow.

Before I turned off, I stopped and photographed this house - not sure what it's all about.

There's a lot of re-generation going on in the East End.

Then down to the river side. Quite unkempt compared to when it flows through the city centre and the West End.

Is this an actual boat yard?
