Pre-fabricated lighting gantry

I've had further thoughts about this lighting rail/gantry.

I think I'll position it lower on the wall of the building ie just above the ground floor shop windows,  and not as it is in the picture above.

I found a length of wood that will do for the rail and some copper wire to carry the power to the individual lights.

I'll then attach all the lighting units to the wooden rail and install all the wiring. This will be done away from the layout. Once it is assembled the whole thing will be attached, ready-made, to the wall of the building. In other words, I'll be making a pre-fabricated lighting unit.

The wires from the lights will run down the inside of the supporting brass tubes, through drilled holes in the wooden rail to be soldered to the two lengths of copper wire that will run the length of the underside of the rail. The copper wires will be connected to a power supply.

Currently reading:

Heartily fed up with Lionel Blue's autobiography. It's full of interesting spiritual observations, but his constant reference to his sexual adventures I find unseemly.

I decided to grant the book a reprieve and not return it to the library, but will give it a rest for a few days.

Still have "My Name is Asher Lev" to enjoy and finish.

Got these books from the library today:

I think I'll begin with this one:

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Miscellany:

Also returned a Graham Greene biography to the library today; I found it a bit laboured. But one fact did attract my attention, namely, that Greene, a convert to Roman Catholicism, was a devoted follower of the writings of the French theologian, Jean-Pierre de Caussade and the doctrine of accepting God's Will at all times and in all things.
