The Captain of My Soul

Using blu tac, strung up an overhead street light to see what it would look like.

These "pendulum lights", as they are called, come in pairs, are best wired up in pairs and come supplied with resistors that should be wired into the circuitry, like so:

Lights plus resistors
They are obtainable from FMR Ltd of Bradford, UK.

Last night's dinner:

The rest of last month's fish stew from the freezer.
 Today's lunch:

Artichokes and anchovies - grilled.

Still Reading:

Last summer, my thoughts were dominated by this book by Robert Irwin:

And I was much arrested by a quotation from W. E Henley that Irwin cites on p 175.

"I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."

The same quotation appears on p 216 of "Therapy":

"It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishment the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Miscellany:

Fully expect to crack my shin against this the next time I sidle past the back of the car to exit the garage.
