Diorama tinkering

Used a sheet of card to fill in a large gap at the back of one the  ceramic buildings on the layout - and painted it a vivid green.

The more angles at which one looks at something, the more weaknesses one spots eg not sure about that area of black on the RHS of the backdrop - looks ugly.

Miscellany:

1. Found a bongos tutor - begin next Wednesday evening.

2. Enrolled in an evening course on the philosophy of mind - begin in September.

Conversation with wife:

Me: That's me booked into an evening philosophy course at the University.

Wife: What, taking it?

Me: Good God no; attending it.

Wife: But you used to take them.

And that's true. From 1979 to 1989 I did teach existentialism and other psychological theories part-time to adults at the University; but, I've forgotten it all. Probably be in the same building.
