The two pictures of the Ford Vedette interested me. Apparently the Vedette was manufactured especially for the French market at the beginning of the 1950s.

| Delage |
Delage Automobiles was started in 1905 by Louis Delage from Levallois-Perret, which is a neighbourhood just outside of Paris. Delage joined Delahaye in 1935 and disappeared in 1953. They created luxury model cars, including racing cars.
The above scene is apparently of two men who drove up the Alps in their Delage.

Oskar Kokoschka:
In Edinburgh last night, and on way back this morning stopped off at the Gallery of Modern Art where they always have a few Kokoschkas on display.
One of my favourite Kokoschkas used to hang in the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh - perhaps it still does.
